Hellcats... workout?

hello hello

So did anyone see that new show Hellcats? I thought it was pretty good... Im definitely gonna try and watch that as much as I can :) anyways before i saw the show I saw the promo poster for it and seriously it got me so motivated to workout... Just look at Aly's flat stomach... i want that and Im gonna get it
 
So I searched a bit for Aly's workout and it was a bit hard to find some updated routines (probably cause I didn't have enough time on my hand), But I did find an old video with Aly & aj where they are working out and it looks GOOD! 





You can get the feeling of what they do, and make it your own.. i did it and god I was sweating like a pig

Recipe for pita bread


Hey everyone

So It was requested by the sweet Marie (Click here) to write my recipe for the pita bread I did the other day... so here I go :)

what you need :
Bread - It doesn't have to be pita bread, it just has to be round(whole wheat if you can)
200-400 g Chicken or turkey breasts
1-2 tbs Extra virgin olive oil
greek yoghurt
1 BIG clove or 3 -4 small ones Garlic
bbq spice
paprika spice
Chili spice
salt + pepper
and last... salad of your choice - I used :
Rucola 
A pepper fruit (bell pepper)
mushrooms
Cucumber
tomatos

What to do you may ask?

Preheat the oven and set it for what it says on the bread bag (usually here in denmark its around 200 C)
Now get a pan hot and put the olive oil on... cut the turkey or chicken breast into small pieces (doesn't have to be perfect) and season it with a bit of bbq spice and salt + peber... put it on the pan... and let it cook until you can see (and smell mmmm) its done...
In the meantime you're fixing the salad and toppings in small bowls so people can choose for them self what they want on the bread
Depending on how much dressing you want you just take some greek yoghurt in a small bowl ( I take about 4 - 5 tbs and thats for 2 persons + its leftover for the next day)
Press the garlic in (as much as you can get out of those bad boys), put in salt, pepper, paprika and chili. I can't tell you how much to put in, cause it kinda depends on how strong you want it.. me and the bf tend to go pretty strong so yeah hehe
now in with the bread so they can be done at the same time as the meat (I usually give my breads around 5 mins)
When meat and bread are done you just put them up on plates and you're done

Tip:
Instead of cutting the bread through so you can put your salad in, I usually just put the salad/toppings/meat on top of the bread... that way I wont mess as much - cause lets face it Im a messy head :D... use a knife and fork and voila you're good to go

Food inspirations

So yesterday I made some yummy easy dinner and thought you might like to se a pic for inspiration. It's kinda a different version of pita bread with salad/toppings... honestly everything is healthy on that plate except the bread... My guy and I didn't have that much money so we used what we had in the fridge.. but if you change the white bread with some sort of healthy bread it would be awesome... 
If you guys want the "recipe" let me know and I will write it down for you :) oh and let me know if you want other ideas for dinner :)

random random

Just a small clip of my boyfriend singing in the car while driving... it's nice to have someone you can laugh with


On another note... I was out working out yesterday, and I did some "special" squats and all of the sudden my knee wasn't feeling it, so I ended up flat on the road crying and couldn't get up.. I called my boyfriend and he came and helped me get up and home safely.
But as you probably guess there was no working out for me today... I can't even walk so yeah..
Anyways my guy was truly amazing yesterday... I never (and I do mean never) had anyone take care of me like he did... 
Oh and btw look at this awesome homemade burger and fries he made for us.

power to the music


Hola people 

Hope you're all doing great out there.
So do you guys ever feel like music is sometimes the only thing that kicks your butt out of the door and over to the gym/or outside working out... to be honest it does with me.
It has been proved that music makes you perform better when you're working out... running for 10 more mins or doing squats, jump rope or what ever it may be. 
So my suggestion is, that even though its starting to be a bit grey outside, fill your ipod, mp3, iphone or whatever you have with awesome music that YOU like and that will inspire you to push it a bit more and go for run or something that makes you active.

Im gonna share some of my songs that Im listening to at the moment that inspires me (I have to say that I only listen to these song when Im working out :) )

The 8 food advice (from Denmark)

Hello everyone... I hope you guys are good and doing great.
So today I wanna talk about the 8 food advices we have here in Denmark (don't know if they apply the rest of the big great world sorry), I know it's boring but trust me they work.
I do have to point out that when you follow these 8 steps you're NOT gonna loose weight, but instead maintain that healthy figure you have ;)

1. Eat fruit and vegetables - 6 pr day (ca. 300 g of each - a little insider tip ;) )
2. Eat fish - several times a week (at least 200g - again a tip ;) )
3. Eat potatoes, rice or pasta and whole wheat bread
4. Cut down on sugar - especially soda, candy and cookies
5. Cut down on fat- especially from dairy product and meat
6. Eat variable and keep the weight
7. kill the thirst with water
8. be active at least 30 mins a day

And that is what will help you keep the "normal" weight

On a little side note for those interested... still living in that new place and slowly starting to getting use to this place...
Its been festival week here in Esbjerg, so we've been out and about enjoying a little bit of everything..
I have to go to a job interview next week so fingers crossed I get it... It sucks donkey balls not having a job and not having money. I also thought about entering a wow contest (world of warcraft) were you have to draw some fan art... but I feel like I kinda lost my mojo this morning, cause I saw all these great drawings and thought I can't do this... I know its the wrong attitude so Im gonna try to find some inspiration somewhere :)

update on it's my birthday... and photo blog

Well hello again

So it was not the plan to write another blog today but I wanted to be fair.. My boyfriend's family came by (unexpected I might add) with gifts... first his grandma came by with a beautiful Orchid, some chocolate and a pretty card.. then after she left, my boyfriend's mother came by with some gifts - art stuff and yes another card... Im not saying this to brag its just my way of showing them respect and saying that Im so grateful and thankful for them for letting me be a part of that family and making me feel so welcome.

My birthday yay :D

Hi everyone

I hope you are all good and enjoying the last bit of summer that is left.
Im at the moment trying to work out outside instead of sweating indoor like a pig, there are so many things / different workouts you can do outside that really BURNS!!!
Anyways Im finally sorta settled here in the new place.. unpacked all the boxes and plastic bags. I have to be honest I still miss my "old" home in copenhagen but Im not complaining cause I really love the nature, and Im getting to learn a lot of things :)
So yeah Im turning 23 today big day some might say but I don't really care for birthdays. Its just a reminder that Im getting older and somehow everything always end up wrong on that day... but still trying to be a positive girl
The day has been really laid back (by my request), me and my guy went out for lunch and now when he is playing that new computer game Starcraft 2, I thought I would pop in and say hi.
Oh so cool I got a present from the body shop (or they gave me the right to choose myself). I picked an aloe vera face creme and it is really good.
I also got a keyboard holder (not sure what its called but that thing that holds the instrument) and a lot of guitar strings for my guitar (named Elvis btw)
And best of all I got a lot of greetings... that means a lot to me...

quick blog


So this is just a quick blog to say hi and say yes im still alive lol
So today is the official moving day and god im nervous for everything.. I still need a couple of small things to pack but I will get there...
We plan to drive at 18.00 cause my guy have to watch tour de france first. On top of the whole moving thing I also have to go to the hospital today so aaarrg way to go to make me more nervous
To be honest Im pretty sad about the moving thing... mainly because its such a big step to take. This place Im staying at now has been my home for almost 23 years so yeah BIG step, but also exciting.. lets not forget that. Im moving in with the guy I love, moving to a new city and stating a new chapter in my life.

A quick "photo" update

Its been forever and day since i've been on here and im sorry.

At the moment Im busy packing stuff (and throwing stuff out)... the official moving day is 22th july (aka this month) so I have a lot of stuff to do... I also try to squeeze some vacation time in just so everything doesn't end up in slavery lol

The moving/packing part is a bit emotional for me at this point cause I don't have that full support system around me... my best friend is in Japan and my boyfriend lives on the other side of the country... I knowthey both are trying to help me as much as they can and Im really thankful for that, its just hard I guess...

Anyways Im still working out (in this heat)and I lost some pounds yay..

Im gonna "leave" you with some pics that I took while I was driving around the country with my boyfriend and his family (I can't drive... but yeah he did lolol) :D


This picture was taken after my bf took me to see Eclipse... we just felt like going for a late night drive and I took some pics of it... im only gonna show you this one... But it was so amazing to see the citylights on the highest hill in that town. I have to admit that I thought it was really romantic.. I was such a girl when he held my hand and always made sure I was okay.. cause we were trying to find the way up the hill in the dark lol

in Ribe... I have to say that it's by far the most romantic, sweet and amazing town i've visited.. my guy showed me around there.. we saw Ribe domkirke (the church - google it I dare ya ;), some very cool fish and we found this amazing little place to eat... it was beyond amazing

Picnic by the beach

Hiya everyone

Sorry I've been slacking on blogging - Sorry...
I went to go see my boyfriend, who lives on the other side of the country so we kinda spend the time together making up for lost time. Im still here with him but found some time just to write and say hi. Im actually gonna move in with him next month so if im not writing that much I think im excused, but I will not forget to check in once in a while... even with health tips, tricks and experiences and maybe even recipes if you want to. If there is something specific you guys want to know about then leave it in the comments below =D
Anyways, yesterday the boyfriend introduced me to some of his old class mates, it was actually okay. It was a nice evening out with a lot of catching up from everyone else side. But to be honest there was a couple of times where I felt younger than everyone else, I do have to say that my boyfriend is about 10 years older than I am, so I think im allowed to feel that once in a while ;)
Today I surprised my guy with a picnic near the beach. Our first thought was getting close to the water, but it was a bit windy so we decided to find a deserted spot much higher up, looking down on the beach... it was really relaxing
The food was good and the weather was actually nice (its been cloudy, cold and rainy these last couple of days).
We got home pretty late from there, and now we're just enjoying what is left of this day.

Random rambles

Hi everyone in Blogsville :D

So this is just a little random blog. Maybe some of you have noticed that my layout on this blog has changed and that is because I wanted something a bit more summery, just for now. I got a bit of help since Im kinda lacking in that department haha..
So yesterdays exercise was a "long" walk with my cousin around the city and it was really nice and relaxing and we just talked about a lot of things. We both have been caught up in our own little world and haven't made that much time for each other - a shame really.
Anyways we walked to this concert venue and it was just the best feeling cause it
reminded me of back in the days when we were inseparable and would spend most of our days together...
Well things change and people change, but at least we still try to spend time together when we can.
Anyways after vega we went over to a park were we sat and talked for a bit.. it was nice and the weather was actually okay.
It all just got me thinking that you have to treasure those moments you have with your loved ones because you never know when they are gonna be over.
So with all said and done.. find someone you haven't talked to in a while or called someone you miss and say hey wanna go for a walk? go out and enjoy the weather and be happy!

What's up with the fruit?




So what is the deal with fruit?
Some people love it, others can't stand it and others find it good but not as the first choice... I personally love fruit.

Anyways how should you deal with fruit when you're trying to lose weight?
Fruit is good for you and goes under the food category greens or fruit & vegetables. It is recommended that you eat 600 g a day or 6 a day as those wise (wo)men says, but this is the part where a lot of people gets confused including me at first.
When I first read 600 g I thought well okay then let me find some bananas, some apples or whatever... I thought I could get my daily g in fruit instead of vegetables. Not that I don't like them I just didn't really bother making dinner for just one person (me) at the time, so fruit or something would do it for me.
Oh well... then I discovered (learned) that, that was actually not that good and it is "recommended" that out of the 600 g you eat about 200 - 300g should be fruit and the rest is vegetables..
With that being said I have to be honest I still don't always follow it cause Im that big a sucker for fruit... but then again I once used to be "addicted" to chocolate so loving fruit instead is that really that bad?
There is still the fruit sugar you have to think about, but I don't think that is THAT BIG of a problem if you are a healthy person and you get some sort of exercise ..
But if you're trying to lose weight you definitely should follow the food recommendations even the not sot visible ones

blogging...



hola guys

Urgh yesterday I was having a bad, bad, baaad day... Couldn't find the motivation to do anything, I just walked around like a sad zombie. I didn't even go to the gym - but thats okay, you don't have to go everyday... it's okay with cheat days :)
Since there was no gym for me yesterday, I woke up early so I could do some hardcore fitness today.. I swear to good I was sweating like a pig and on top of that my face was turning bright red and I could just feel it, like this burning feeling ... But I have to admit you do feel great after a good work out.
The rest of the day has been kinda laid back... I walked around in the park and watched the carnival that was going on, that was fun.
Oh btw today I have been with my guy for 6 months :D I dont think (or at least feel) he think its that special, but it is for me...it's kinda rare im with a guy for that long, I tend to lose interest or the guys are just really weird :S... but not this guy... I do think its actually the first time Im really in love with someone.

It's kinda a sad excuse for a blog today I know, i'll be better next time ;)

naked smile


Hey everyone...

So this morning I was up early... REALLY early... and went to the gym, cause lets face it there are a ton of machines you can use without having to wait for them...
Anyways I did what I normally do in the gym, and about an hour later Im in the dressing room kinda naked... okay pretty much butt naked, and all of the sudden this lady walks up to me stands still and looks really intensely... then she puts on a big smile and says " I hope you will have a great day".
At first I thought awww thats sweet of her and of course I replied back.
Anywhoo... I got my clothes on and started to walk home and then the thought just hit me... ummm okay I just smiled and small talked with a woman i don't know naked...yeah well, you gotta try some things at least once right? hehe
I hope you guys are having a great day... its been good here so far, the sun has been out and its warm - what more can you ask for.

Hey everyone out there in bloggerland

So I guess Im gonna use my first blogpost to tell you a little bit about me.

Im 22, live in Denmark, I like to goof around with friends, family and my bf...
for the past two years I have been into gym and weight loss and everything that goes with it.
So I guess Im gonna use this blogger thing here to tell you about my experiences... the good days, the bad days, the funny days, and those sad days we all have once in a while...
Im not only gonna be talking about diet, gym and so on... I might put some healthy recipes in there, and talk about a lot of random stuff since I can be kinda an expert at that.

But otherwise I also wanna use this place to encourage you guys, and of course the other way around...
