Saturday was pesto pasta with salad and grilled mushrooms... so freaking yummy...

I hope you guys had a great awesomely weekend =D Im already looking forward to the next lol

Recipe: High protein Low cal pandcakes

So here are a nice easy recipe for some low cal high protein pancakes if you're trying to shred some of the christmas pounds like me lol

I first saw a youtube video on this and decided to make them myself... I know they look a bit hmmm but trust me when I say they taste good (i've been eating one every day this week). I even managed to make the bf/gf versions. Mine of course was the healthy one with bananas on top and my bf was with nutella and banana hahaha

what you need: (1 portion)

1 half banana
A scoop of whey protein powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
egg white from 1 egg

Heat up the pan to medium heat.. I use extra olive oil, cause we dont have that fat free spray thingy you guys in usa have.

(Keep in mind the light is crap cause I did it early this morning)
The order you put the ingredients in dosen't matter - this is just they way I do it :)

A half banana in a bowl

cinnamon

whey protein powder

then I add the egg white (forgot to take picture of that lol)

Mix it with a hand blender, and then it end up like this

On the pan sizzling hot - I just wanted to write the word sizzling lol

The boyfriend version with Nutella and banana - he recommend this.

My healthy version with bananas on top... I usually drink a glass of cold skim milk with this

Let me know if you try it.

anywhoo here are some pics

Vanilla cake

the black thingys are chocolate

To be honest the cake wasn't as good as I hoped it would be :/

And now its time for bed...
I can so feel the weekend calling lol

Recipe: Potato pizza

Here is what you need:

Pizza dough (we bought ours cause we were lazy)
2 red bell peppers
3 mushrooms
4 potatoes
5 tomatoes
6 Garlic cloves (but use whatever fits your taste)
Some sausage (we use some organic chili sausage)
Cheese (use what fits you - we used light organic cheese)
Oregano (as much as you want)

This is what you do:
Boil the potatoes so they are eatable.
Then you wash everything that's washable, then chop the tomatoes up, peel the garlic and put it in a blender with some oregano in it and blend away.
It needs to look like a tomato purée
Then take bell peppers mushrooms, potatoes and sausage and chop those bad boys up as you want.
Now roll out the dough and smear on the tomato purée. Then when that is done you can put the chopped ingredients on as you like. Finish it off with some cheese.
Now put it in the oven at 200 °C for about 20 mins... or till the cheese looks good

Hope you guys enjoyed it =)

Traditions....

I have to apologize for the huge overload of christmas stuff I've been blogging about, but I promise it will stop in january lol
While I was at work I got to think about christmas tradition and got curious about how you guys spend christmas, and thought I would share my christmas traditions with you guys.
Well first off I am gonna answer the BIG question: Yes we open presents on christmas eve, most danish people do that.
First of I start the morning of with some good breakfast, then its of to walk around the city either with my cousin and this time coming it will be with my boyfriend. I know it sounds stupid but I really like walking around seeing and hearing how quiet it is, cause normally there is A LOT of people
(btw yes it is a summertime pic, but it is just to demonstrate lol)

Then when I get home it is time for a bit of tea (im not a BIG coffee drinker) and some christmas goodies that we have made

(I borrowed these pics from google since I don't have pictures of our home baking)

Then the most important thing (according to me) its time to watch Disney's Christmas show.
I've been watching it every year since I was a baby - and it is just not christmas without it

Then I go help mom in the kitchen, or at least try to help lol

Then its food time - this is what is typically on a danish christmas table (or at least the people I know)

then you end it all of with this kind of rice porridge or some other type of it where you are suppost to find an almond. the one that finds the whole almond wins a present... there is small chopped almond pieces in it just to make it harder to find it lol

After the food I usually help my mom with the dishwashing and then its time to dance around the christmas tree

And then FINALLY (for some lol) it is time for the presents. If there are small kids attending they usually get ONE present before we eat... we are not mean like that haha

After that we watch some tv and talk :)

sometimes If we are a bit more than the nearest family we will not give presents to the grown ups, but then we will play a christmas package game, where you buy really funny crappy gifts and play for them, and then when all the gift are taken its time to "steal" from each other until the time is up =)

So how do you guys spend christmas?

Many christmas hugs
