It's a snowy day

Oh I just love snow. I was in class today when it suddenly started to snow like crazy, I was so taken away with it that I kind of spaced out for the rest of the class haha.
On my way home from school I decided to take a few pictures... Just because you have to enjoy a snow day like today, before I know it, its gone.

Day 7: Favorite Movies

Uh oh this one I actually think is a thoughy (lol yeah I just said that)
I guess they are all girly movies so be aware.

I adore this movie... There is just something charming about old movies... I simply love it

Moulin rouge

Is this a fantastic love story or what?... I can't even count how many times I've watched this

Grease

When I was younger my mom always told me about how many times she went to the movies to see this (17 times just so you guys know), and I guess the next generation (me) followed and became a grease lover. However I've never seen this in a cinema lol... just on dvd, oh and I used to own it on VHS as well (oh the old school times)

Coyote Ugly

This movie made me wanna move to USA, become a songwriter and find true love... oh and dance on a bar counter thats on fire

Crossroads 

Yes you can think what you want, BUT i have some amazing memories to this movie...

My cousin and I used to hang together all the time... sleepover and stuff.

She didn't have any dvd player so we would watch this movie over and over AND OVER again on the computer (cause it was one of the first dvd's we got)

Then we would put mattresses on the floor, get A LOT of pillows... and lets not forget chips AND dip and just watch... oh how we wished we were Britney spears

A cinderella story

Again great memories with my cousin...

I kid you not when I say we watched this movie so many times the dvd wouldn't play that well anymore.

(my mom had grease I have a cinderella story)

some of the romantic scenes still makes me go awww... yup im a sad excuse lol

Day 4 - your parents

I don't know why but I think thát is a very private question.

 I have a mom yes, and I guess my dad is still around out there somewhere in this world.

I've never met my dad or have seen a picture of him. I was told by my mom that when he got the news that she was pregnant he purely denied he was the father.

They took a test and BAM he was.. anywho he said he wanted nothing to do with me and I can only say vice versa..

Sadly I don't really have any pics of my mom on the computer... maybe some other time :)

day 3 - meaning behind your blog name

Well my blog name is actually pretty simple if you look at it - Artofmi3 (Art of Mie)

I love being crafty and such things and I thought this was a great name, tbh I think it sounded really cool.

My profile name (just to put that in as well cause I do get questions about this) its osxg33kgirl.

OSX = So first of I just want to explain to you guys that I love Apple/mac and I love the system osx that is on it, cause I think its easier to navigate around than on a windows.

So that was the first part of my name.

G33k = Geek ( yes i am a geek lol)

Girl = well I do have boobs, so I guess I qualify in that category 

So there you guys have it - I hope it made sense =D

Day 1 recent pic and 15 facts

1. I am a big believer in animal rights - I think there should be some kind of animal police here in DK. It breaks my heart everytime I hear something in the news about it

2. Green tea is something I have to have every day... period!

3. I am a chocolateholic.. I really do think its a condition O.o

4. I kinda have a relationship with Apple lol

5. I don't have a lot of friends :/

6. Im still trying to figure out where I stand in this big world

Today is Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day

Taken from many faces of moebius syndrome

Moebius Syndrome is an extremely rare congenital neurological disorder which is characterized by facial paralysis and the inability to move the eyes from side to side. Most people with Moebius syndrome are born with facial paralysis, which means they cannot close their eyes or form facial expressions. Limb and chest wall abnormalities sometimes occur with the syndrome. Most people with Moebius syndrome have normal intelligence, and others should take care not to confuse their lack of facial expression with dullness or unfriendliness. It is named for Paul Jullius Mobius, a neurologist who first described the syndrome in 1888.

My personal view

Moebius is close to my heart and the people around me... cause I have it.

For many years I have been ashamed of myself for looking the way I do. I was not told until a year or two ago that moebius was a handicap so I have never really learned to live with it like that. I've been in and out of the hospital since I was very little to get everything checked (nothing serious), and I guess the doctors forgot to mention to my mom that moebius is a handicap.

I was later told that yes the syndrome is rare but the state mine are in is even more rare (very "mild case", so last time I was at the hospital they took pictures to show to students so they hopefully can learn a bit more about this.

I know now that this is not a well known syndrome and for a long time I thought I was the only one in the world who looked like this, so I am pleased that the word about moebius has spread the way it has so it can help others out there in the world who might feel alone cause of it 

Over these last couple of years I have learned to live with moebius, there have been times I've felt alone, i've been bullied and generally just didn't fit in, but I have learned that looks does NOT define who you are, it truly is whats inside that counts, and I know there is a lot of wonderful people out there that smiles on the inside

Lazy OOTD

I am still sick, so just to keep posting something I thought I would do an outfit of the day post

Clothes are the blue sweatpants and black long sleeved top from my new yorker haul... 

I know Im not wearing make up and sorry for scaring some of you lol, its just not what Im thinking about when Im sick. 

Honestly when I took those pictures I just got up from a 12 hour long sleep... sick I know lol
