Monday motivation - Summer fit (MY WORKOUT)

As some of you know, I have made small steps into a healthier lifestyle, after falling off the wagon for some months. Some might say that the cure to depression is working out. That might be true, but the first steps are so hard to take and easily it is becoming a habit of saying "Oh I will do that later", or "Oh I'll do it tomorrow"... and then so on, and so on. I did fell into that hole, and I would just hide away in my bed, feeling sad and lonely. Then I made a post not so long ago about wanting to start again, and I am. I mostly work out at home or go for a run/power walk instead of going to the gym.

Today it was actually freezing outside, so I worked out on my Kinect (for XBOX) - I usually do your shape 2012 or Dance central 3. Today I did Dance central 3. I have my own little (BIG) fitness playlist that leaves me tired as hell.

After that I did a couple of tone it up videos, took a shower and now I am seriously ready to sleep.

I wanted to share with you the videos I did today

I did this Love your Booty video 3 times

Then I did this love your arms 3 times

Then It was time for this workout. Only 1 time (I started getting tired lol)

And then I finished it all of with this TLC workout 3 times

I am far from where I want to be with my weight, but at least I am at it again, and I will kick ass. When I return home from Paris I will start to make leg days, core days, arm days and so on.

This is what there is said about the july birthstone.

Like a perfect red rose, the Ruby's rich color speaks of love and passion.  Called the "Rajnapura" or King of Gems by ancient Hindus, July's birthstone is among the most highly prized of gems throughout history. The Ruby was considered to have magical powers, and was worn by royalty as a talisman against evil.  It was thought to grow darker when peril was imminent, and to return to its original color once danger was past—provided it was in the hands of its rightful owner! 

Rubies were thought to represent heat and power.  Ancient tribes used the gem as bullets for blowguns, and it was said that a pot of water would boil instantly if a Ruby was tossed into it.  Ground to powder and placed on the tongue, this crystal was used as a cure for indigestion. 

The word Ruby comes from the Latin "ruber," meaning red.  It is a variety of the mineral Corundum, and is found as crystals within metamorphic rock.  Corundum is the second hardest mineral, after Diamond.  It comes in a variety of colors, and is considered a Sapphire in any color except red, which is designated as a Ruby.  Rubies range in hue from an orangey red to a purplish red, but the most prized gems are a true red in color.  Large sized Rubies are very rare and valuable. 

The history of Ruby mining dates back more than 2,500 years ago.  The most beautiful crystals are thought to be from Burma, but quality Rubies are also found in India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Kenya, Tanzania, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the United States. 

It has been said that the Ruby's red glow comes from an internal flame that cannot be extinguished, making a gift of this stone symbolic of everlasting love.  With its hardness and durability, it is a perfect engagement gem.  And if worn on the left hand, ancient lore has it that the Ruby will bring good fortune to its wearer, too!

Beep 2011

Beep 2011 is the first "real" gadget convention (that I know of) here in Denmark, and of course my bf talked me into going.

It was held in Bella Centeret, and was filled with gadgets.

To be honest it could have been better, BUT when you think that it was their first time they did it pretty well.

So here is a couple of pictures from it

I do believe that they nailed the future of tv, of course with room to improve.

10th best in Denmark

Yay...

So I know this is pretty geeky and all but I finally reached the number 10 spot in the xbox kinect game Yourshape

Yourshape is a sports/active game where its about burning as many kcal as you can. 

Whats cool about this game is that you can track the process online and see other peoples results - Worldwide and for whatever country you're in

But yeah Im basically the 10th best in Denmark so far, and kind of proud of it. Im a fighter so Im gonna give it my best to get to the top :D

addicted to...

I have to admit that I've been gaming a bit lately, and is now addicted to Your shape

I've tried your shape some time ago but then the sad ass excuses came... work, tired, life and so on.

Now I've picked it up again and been at it for this month of july and I simply love it...

With your shape you can see your score online and that kind of excites me... I can be very competitive so I am really trying my best to get a good ranking... 

So far Im #3000 something worldwide, and #11 in Denmark. I have to say Im pretty proud of that.

I can definitely recommend this game if you want to be active but don't have that much time. I promise you that you will feel your legs burning after a good workout
